We are entering the era of zettabytes — and it is only just beginning.
Over the next three years, the world will generate more data than in the entire history of humanity up until now — an estimated 552 zettabytes between 2024 and 2026, surpassing the 542 zettabytes created by the end of 2023.

Since the emergence of the first generative AI model in 2014, and especially after the launch of GPT-1 by OpenAI in 2018, the volume of data has grown at an exponential rate.
In 2022, we reached the milestone of 101 zettabytes, more than double the amount generated in 2019 — and this growth shows no signs of slowing down.
The adoption of AI has also accelerated rapidly: ChatGPT reached 1 million users within just five days of its public release.
Today, a large portion of the global population uses AI in their daily lives — often without even realizing it.
The global AI market is expected to grow at an annual rate of 36.6% through 2030.
