Omar Carneiro da Cunha

Omar is the Senior Partner of DealMaker, since 2005. At DealMaker, Omar has concentrated his extensive leadership experience to conduct M&A projects. Omar has extensive leadership experience in business and government relationships in Brazil and abroad. Prior to joining DealMaker in 2005, Omar was CEO of Shell Brazil, Billiton Metais and AT&T in the country. Omar is Board Member of Energisa, Brookfield Incorporações, Cultura Inglesa S.A., Grupo Libra, among others.

Omar has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Faculdade de Ciências Políticas e Econômicas do Rio de Janeiro (Rio de Janeiro School of Political and Economic Sciences) and a graduate degree in Financial Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Getúlio Vargas Foundation).

Daniel Carneiro da Cunha


DealMaker’s Partner since 2005, Daniel has more than 10 years experience in Consulting, Mergers and Acquisitions and Organizational Restructuring in several industry sectors such as Telecom, IT, Energy, Services, among others.
In 2009/10, Daniel was CEO of Softcorp during the implementation of a restructuring program. Prior to that, Daniel was Marketing & Business Development Manager at .comDominio Data Centers and New Business Analyst at Brasil Telecom. He is partner of a VC firm – Initial Capital.
Daniel has an undergraduate degree in Economics from IBMEC Business School of Rio de Janeiro.

Arnaldo Gomes da Rocha

DealMaker’s Partner since 2007, Arnaldo has developed and implemented several Consulting and Restructuring Projects, as well as Projects of accelerated growth based on StepChange methodology. Arnaldo has lead projects in several industries such as Energy, IT, Services and Retail, among others. Arnaldo was co-founder and Marketing Director of Bizavista, a B2B solutions provider for SMB, sold in 2006. Arnaldo was a board member of a tier 2 automotive company.
Arnaldo studied Civil Engineering at Escola Politécnica da USP (São Paulo University Polytechnic School). Arnaldo has further education in quality & productivity from ITCQ-USP, executive negotiation-Wharton.

Marcos Bastos Rocha

Marcos possui extensiva experiência executiva, com grande vivência em Fundraising, M&A e Desenvolvimento de Negócios e rede de relacionamentos no Brasil e Exterior nos meios empresarial e mercado financeiro. Foi VP Executivo da Invepar, CEO da Pontocred e Diretor Executivo de diversas empresas nos segmentos de Varejo, Telecom e Indústria. Atualmente é membro do Conselho de Administração da Brazil Fast Food Corp, da Construtora BC2 e Diretor para Infraestrutura do IBEF – RJ. Marcos é graduado em Engenharia pelo IME, possui Mestrado em Finanças pela PUC-RJ e Pós-Graduação em Gestão Empresarial pelo SDE/IBMEC

Rafael Gevaerd da Cruz

Rafael joined DealMaker in 2010 and has extensive experience as a project manager, coordinating directly the conduction and analysis of M&A and StepChange projects. Rafael worked for 3 years with Strategic Planning at Telefonica Brazil, coordinating strategic projects and long-term budget.

Rafael has an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Escola Politécnica – USP (Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo) and a graduate degree in Business Administration from FGV-EAESP (Getúlio Vargas Foundation).

Leonardo Benzecry

As Associate Consultant and Project Manager at DealMaker, Leonardo has worked directly in the conduction and analysis of M&A projects, as well as in planning and execution of Restructuring Projects of accelerated growth based on StepChange® methodology. He worked as a capital market analyst with focus in real estate sector and in the Aviation & Logistic sector.

He has an undergraduate degree in Economy and a graduate degree in Business Economics from Universidade Federal Fluminense (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). Also, he attended an extension course in finance formation of UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro).
